1.- Scientific program topics
The conference theme for NI 2018 is “Information and Communication Technology to Improve Quality at the Point of Care”, and the program will be built up around the following six tracks:
1.1 Point of care solutions, models and devices
1.2 Big Data Analytics and Decision support
1.3 Meaningful use of electronic information systems
1.4 Quality, safety and ethics
1.5 Patient participation and citizen involvement
1.6 Education, competences and capacity building
2.- Types of contributions
The following types of submission are invited:
1. Full Paper: original contribution that either describes an empirical study, a novel system, methodology, or new insights from research.
2. Student Paper: student-led research or development effort.
3. Poster: one-page abstract.
4. Demonstration: Showcase of an innovative, non-commercial system resulting from research or private-public efforts.

Opening of NI2018 Registrations:
- September 1, 2017
Deadline for Full Paper, Student Paper, and Poster submissions:
- November 30, 2017
Notification of Acceptance:
- January 15, 2018
Deadline for final version of submissions:
- February 28, 2018
